To aid in analysis of the Taliban’s edicts and their impact on the lives of Afghan women and girls, Femena and IANGEL have compiled a list of 130 edicts issued by the Taliban from their return to power through the end of 2024. This list was compiled from valuable resources, including the United States Institute of Peace (USIP) tracker of Taliban’s (Mis) Treatment of Women, as well as other credible sources. All the sources for the edicts are listed, and we have attempted to verify them using multiple references wherever possible. We will update it as new information becomes available. This list includes only the edicts that directly target women.
