Femena has published the fifth report in its ongoing series documenting women arrested in connection with Iran’s January 2026 protests. This report examines the continued crackdown on women protesters amid war, prolonged internet shutdowns, expedited court proceedings, and escalating political repression.
Despite widespread disruption caused by the conflict, Iranian authorities have continued to impose lengthy prison sentences, conduct summary online trials, and intensify the use of national security charges against women activists, lawyers, students, healthcare professionals, and ordinary citizens. The report documents the cases of twenty women who have been arrested, prosecuted, or remain imprisoned in connection with the protests.
As hundreds of protesters remain behind bars and executions continue, this report seeks to preserve the stories of those targeted for exercising their fundamental rights and to support ongoing international efforts toward accountability and justice.
